So I finished watching Earthlings …… I just. Wow. I’m already vegan but if I wasn’t before… I’m just so speechless that humans let this kind of violence and suffering go on and encourage it, provoke it, and then be ignorant to the fact that it happens.
I understand human ignorance towards other animals suffering is to keep their own conscious clear, but is that really a good way to go about it? Since when is lying to yourself ever helpful? Why are we all so out of touch with our humanity?
We’re all part of this planet. If you look at the planet from space, it’s a beautiful thing. But zooming in down to society and how we treat others and act ourselves, it’s the most disgusting and shameful thing to say that I am a part of this Earth when all humans have done is destroy it for profit.
